How to use
- Mix 1-2 tablespoons with water, rose water, or yogurt to form a smooth paste.
- Apply evenly to clean, damp skin, avoiding the eye area.
- Leave on for 10-15 minutes. Important: Do not allow the mask to fully dry or harden, as this can dehydrate the skin.
- If you have sensitive skin, start with a shorter application time of 5-7 minutes.
- Gently rinse off with lukewarm water using light, circular motions.
- Follow with our Balance or Botanical Bliss Face Oil or your regular skincare routine.
- Use 1-2 times per week, or less frequently for sensitive skin.
Tip: To prevent the mask from drying out, you can lightly mist your face with water or rose water during the application time.
Wooden spoons are crucial for applying clay masks, as the use of metal spoons can compromise the negatively charged ions present in the clay. The interaction between the metal and the clay leads to a loss of the clay's beneficial properties, significantly diminishing its healing potential.
Always remove your clay mask before it fully dries. When you leave a clay mask on too long by letting it dry, harden and contract- the clay ends up absorbing essential water from your skin barrier, which crucially effects hydration levels.
